Description
Produced from 1979 to 1984, the Harlequin, measures 5 3/8 inch capped, 5 inch uncapped and 5 7/8 inch posted. This pen manufactured in England carries a date code of UC meaning 1981.The pattern is referred to as shield pattern and is uncolored brushed stainless steel.
Pen has a steel nib and fills with the included squeeze filler or standard Parker cartridges can be used. Don’t know how much use this pane has had, but it obviously was very well cared for. No sign of wear, No scratches, dents, dings, or discolorations or fading. The appearance is flawless, as far as I can see. (see close up photos) Nib feed is tipped with a large ball of material and the back of the feed assembly is marked M.
At 83 I'm selling some of the hundreds of pens in my collection. All have been refurbished when I bought them, and are filled, not dipped (except where mint or other stated problems prevent it) written with and tested again when I put them up for sale. I am very careful to show every aspect of the pens, so nothing is left to the imagination. My descriptions and close up photos go the extra mile and are an important part of the description, so please examine them carefully.
Never, ever
put drafting ink such as India ink or Carters drawing ink in the pen. It will ruin the pen. Only fountain pen ink, of which there are endless choices available. If you are bidding on a lever fill fountain pen, or any fill system other than piston fill, remember that to fully fill the pen, after immersing the nib and a little of the section in ink and using the fill mechanism, count to ten before removing the pen from the ink., to give the pen enough time to fill.
